Originally from San Jose, California, John Battaglia has been consecutively ranked on Golf Digest’s “Best Young Instructor (Under 40)” list and the magazine’s listing of “Best Teachers In Every State” for California. John began his full-time teaching career in 2005 at PGA WEST® with the Jim McLean Golf School and was promoted to Lead Master Instructor in 2015. He has had the opportunity to observe and take lessons from many Top 100 instructors including Jim McLean, Ben Doyle, Carly Welty, Bryan Lebedevitch and Jerry Mowlds. Among his career highlights to date: working with former Rookie of the Year and U.S. Open winner Liselotte Neumann. He has also coached Amari Avery who has claimed victories at the U.S. Kids National Championship, Junior World Golf Championship, and Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) Toyota Tour Cup. Additionally, he has coached multiple American Junior Golf Association (AJCA) winners and Club champions, including PGA WEST.
