New Private Clubhouse Director of Golf, Dave Menke
Please Welcome our new Director of Golf for your three
Private Golf Courses, Dave Menke!
Born and raised in Elgin, IL, Dave attended Illinois State University, majoring in Parks and Recreation Administration. He became a PGA Professional while attending ISU in order to teach the golf programs offered by the University. After finishing school, Dave began his golf career by working winters both here at PGA WEST and La Quinta Country Club, and at the Jim McLean Golf School at Doral Resort in Miami. Summers took him to The Club at Cordillera in Vail, CO, and then as an Assistant Golf Professional at Bob O'Link Golf Club in Chicago.
California called again, and Dave moved to Los Angeles to work as the First Assistant Professional at Bel-Air Country Club, and then became the Head Golf Professional at Wilshire Country Club. He was the Head Golf Professional at Illahe Hills Country Club in Salem, OR, and most recently spent the summer at the Country Club at Castle Pines, in Castle Rock, CO.
Dave is married to his lovely wife, Jane, and together they have two children; son, Charlie (6) and daughter, Eliza (4). The Menke family are very excited to now call La Quinta their home!
We welcome Dave's professional philosophy and experience to lead Golf Operations at PGA WEST Private, providing you and your guests an outstanding golf experience year-round.
