Horse Thief Creek
On the east side of Martinez Mountain is Horse thief creek. This 5 mile 900 foot elevation gain hike is unique in that it starts on a downhill. We will pass an old dolomite mine and lots of lush vegetation. The path is quite challenging so a good pair of hiking boots and possibly a walking stick are suggested. In a good rainfall year the stream at the end of our hike is a refreshing reward.
