A Message from Your Golf Team

The Tom Weiskopf Golf Course will open tomorrow and it's ready for your enjoyment. Come out and join us on the first tee for a little taste of Chef Josh Dorrell's exciting cuisine. Don’t forget that it's Halloween so costumes or clothing with black and orange is encouraged.

With the remodel of your Private Clubhouse in full swing, the Golf Operations flow is slightly different than what you are use to. Our satellite Golf Shop will be located just outside the Bag Room at the base of the main staircase. Our Golf Shop staff will be ready to service your needs. Due to the circumstances, we will not be able to accept cash for Member-Guest rounds. Credit card or Member charge will still be available. Once our new Golf Shop is complete and we have a more secure location, we will be able to accept cash for rounds of golf.

Our Valet/Bag Drop Services will open tomorrow upstairs next to the flagpoles. If your Guests are arriving or you use a club golf cart, the Bag Drop/Valet will kick off tomorrow. The Golf Team will be staging golf carts in that location daily to service Member and Guest needs. Once our staff has loaded up the bags, Members and Guests will be able to take the cart from the parking lot and head to the Practice Facility or first tee.

The Private Practice Facility opens tomorrow with the Tom Weiskopf Golf Course. The Jack Nicklaus Private putting green and short game area will remain closed until the opening of the Jack Nicklaus Private on Friday, November 7. Please remember the Tom Weiskopf Golf Course will be cart path only for the next 3 weeks. If you have a blue handicap flag, you will be able to drive 90 degrees to your ball and choose the quickest and most efficient way back to the cart path.

Below are the policies for Members who have a blue handicap flag.

1. Members with blue handicap flags will be allowed to ride with Members who don’t possess a blue flag. The handicap policies apply to those with the disability only.

2. We encourage those with blue handicap flags to take their own golf cart or pair up with another who possesses a handicap flag.

Example:
1. If the foursome has one Member who has a handicap flag, three golf carts will be allowed in the group and the Member with the disability will be able to drive 90 degrees to their ball.

2. If the group has two Members with handicap flags they will need to pair up and two golf carts will be allowed in the group.

3. In no circumstances will four golf carts be allowed.

4. Once the Golf Course Superintendant gives us the OK to drive on the course we will return to our season policy for Golf Cart use.

Season Policy:

The MAX number of Golf Carts in a foursome is two.
The MAX number of Golf Carts in a threesome is two.
The MAX number of Golf Carts in a twosome is one.

We look forward to greeting all the Members on the first tee tomorrow as we kick off the 2014/2015 season.
