Congratulations to our new Executive Chef and Golf Course Superintendents
We are excited to announce the recent promotions of three leaders from within our PGA WEST team. These gentlemen have performed extremely well over the past few years and deserve these new opportunities to lead. Please join me in congratulating the following individuals who are committed to The Club and your Member experiences:
Josh Dorrell
Executive Chef, Private Food and Beverage
Alan Stuessy
Superintendent, TPC Stadium/Nicklaus Tournament
Jared Stanek
Superintendent, Arnold Palmer Private
Josh Dorrell, our Sous Chef this past year, is originally from Clovis, California. He attended Fresno State University on a football scholarship and after school/playing career moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where he graduated from Le Cordon Bleu with a degree in Culinary Arts. In 2010, Josh began working at The Private Clubhouse and has continued to excel in our organization. As Executive Chef, Josh will bring an exciting contemporary cuisine to The Club with dishes that will focus on Member favorites while introducing some of his Fresno roots with the use of fresh ingredients to bring bright flavors to the table. Josh will be working with our various resources throughout the summer to build our new menus for our soon-to be renovated Private Clubhouse.

Alan Stuessy has been the Superintendent for the Arnold Palmer Private for the past two seasons and has done an exceptional job providing our Club with great Course conditions. Alan began his career with us in 2009 as the Assistant Superintendent for the TPC Stadium Course. He was promoted to Superintendent in 2011 and then moved over to The Private in 2012. Alan graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy with Turfgrass Management Option. Before moving to PGA WEST Alan worked at Plainfield Country Club in New Jersey and Chestnut Ridge Country Club in Maryland. In Alan’s new role, he will oversee the agronomy teams for both the TPC Stadium and Nicklaus Tournament Courses.

Jared Stanek is now our Superintendent of the Arnold Palmer Private as Alan moves to the Resort Courses. Jared was born and raised in Wyoming and is a proud alumnus of the University of Wyoming. With over 15 years of experience in Golf Course Management, Jared joined the PGA WEST family two years ago as the Assistant Superintendent of the TPC Stadium. Prior to moving to the Valley, he was the Assistant Superintendent of the Club at SpurWing in Meridian, ID. While at SpurWing, he helped construct a new driving range & practice facility and oversaw several other renovations throughout the course. SpurWing hosted several events like the US Open qualifiers and Idaho State Amateur events, so he knows how to maintain a Course of this caliber. In his new role, Jared will continue to elevate the Golf Course conditions and focus on Member satisfaction.

The summer season will be busy getting these gentleman settled into their new roles and we know they are excited to show you, the Members how proud they are to be part of this team and focus on your PGA WEST experiences.
Again, Congratulations to Josh, Alan and Jared!
