Golf Course and Clubhouse Updates

June 1, Members will be allowed to take individual carts on all Golf Courses. This is a great benefit to the Membership and it’s important we continue to follow the Golf Cart Standards to protect the Golf Courses. We all need to make sure we’re “Guardians of the Game”.

- Individual Member carts are permitted
- Guests are required to ride with the hosting Member. Click here for Member-Guest rates

Golf Cart Standards

1. Our primary cart policy is to use cart paths as much as possible and to limit the driving on The Course by using the 90 degree rule for entering and exiting The Course. Frequently, entry and exit gates are provided to help reduce wear and tear on fairways and should be used if they provide the most direct route to your ball or back to the path.

2. Carts should be parked on the concrete paths when Members are using the Tees and greens. This is a big issue that needs everyone’s support and we need everyone’s help in protecting the course by respectfully parking away from these sensitive areas.

3. Be careful not to damage the edge of the turf next to the cart paths. There is no need to pull off the path when you park.

4. Respect ropes and signage.

5. Avoid wet areas as carts can cause significant damage.

Arnold Palmer – 10th Tee Start

The beautiful back nine of the Palmer Golf Course has the San Jacinto Mountains as its backdrop. Those beautiful mountains can also produce extreme temperatures in the summer months. On June 1, we switch from a first tee start to a tenth tee start to avoid the heat the mountains put off in the mid day hours. Our goal is to have the Members through the back nine before the temperatures peak.

Private Course Tee Times

Beginning June 1, the first tee time of the day will be 6:36am on all the Private Courses. If you desire the first tee time and you happen to be a single or twosome you might catch up to the Golf Course Maintenance teams. If this does happen, it is important that you either play through to the next hole or wait for them to finish their Course preparation. Single players or even twosomes can play faster than the time it takes the grounds crew to prep each hole.

Private Clubhouse – Hours of Operation

While capital repairs are made to the Cooling Tower (AC units) at The Private, The Clubhouse will be closed from June 2-6. The Golf Shop will remain open during this time and your Club Concierge will be available via phone, 760.564.7111. Food and Beverage will open on June 11 with a new summer menu. Ernie's will be open for your food & beverage needs during our closure; see their hours of operations below in the Tournament Clubhouse link.

Food & Beverage service in the Men’s Grill and Ladies' Locker Room has ended for the summer months. For shoe service, please see The Private Golf Shop staff.
