Mark Ewing as the Head Golf Professional of
The Private Clubhouse!
We wish Bill Shaw a fond farewell and congratulate him on his promotion to Director of Golf, Mountain & Dunes!
Dale Butler, General Manager, Greg Norman Clubhouse
Before being named the General Manager of The Greg Norman Clubhouse,
Dale worked at PGA WEST for six years, most recently serving as
Head Golf Professional at the Private Clubhouse. Dale’s contributions to golf operations at the Private Clubhouse included supervising the Golf Shop and staff, helping initiate the popular Saturday golf clinic program and working with the Men’s, Ladies and Par Tee Golf Associations. For the past several years he conducted the PGA WEST Men’s Stroke and Match Play Championships and as the staff representative he also assisted with the Club's
Men’s Desert Team and Ladies Spring Team.
Dale Butler is a tremendous asset to the Members of PGA WEST and he will continue to contribute to the Member experience at the Norman Course. Dale is excited about the opportunity to help make your Member experience at the Greg Norman Club exceptional. Through increased Member activity at the Club and Wallaby’s Restaurant he looks forward to maintaining the many relationships he has developed while at the Private Clubhouse. Dale looks forward to assuring Members and guests have memorable experiences while at PGA WEST and encourages you to contact him if there is anything he or his staff may do to make your Club Membership more enjoyable!
Mark Ewing, Head Golf Professional, PGA WEST Private
Mark Ewing has been a desert resident since 1981. Mark played golf for the
Palm Desert High School Aztecs where he and his team won the state championship during his senior year. He joins the PGA WEST family along with his beautiful wife, Tiffaney, son Jameson and daughter Haley.
Mark started his professional golfing career with Bermuda Dunes Country Club.
In 2004, Mark was promoted to Head Golf Professional at Desert Falls Country Club. After 4 seasons with Desert Falls, Mark joined the
La Quinta Resort & Club as the Director of Golf for the
Mountain & Dunes Clubhouse.
Since joining the La Quinta Resort & Club staff, Mark has gained a tremendous amount of knowledge for the overall operations of a Club. Working with a Private Club Membership is a new endeavor for Mark, one he is excited to take on! He will be working with Director of Golf, Jerry Eye, effective immediately. "I look forward to adding the experience in the golf business Mark Ewing brings with him. We will continue to improve the Member experience at PGA WEST and Mark will be a large part of that," says Jerry Eye.

We, would also, like to take this opportunity to say congratulations to Bill Shaw, PGA WEST Private's 1st Assistant, as he will be moving to the Mountain and Dunes Clubhouse as the Director of Golf. Bill has been a tremendous asset to the Members of PGA WEST this past season. The weekly writer of the Golfer's Gazette and creator of many new golfing programs for the PGA WEST Members. Congratulations Bill on your promotion!
