Morgan's is thrilled to introduce the next summer food festival menu, featuring garlic. Garlic is the queen of the allium family, which includes onions, shallots, chives and ramps. Originating in Asia, it has been a staple for more than 7,000 years, adopted into many ethnic and regional cuisines. Garlic offers many health benefits, from assisting in regulating blood pressure to providing antioxidant and cancer preventive compounds. When slowly cooked in virgin olive oil, the garlic's enzymes are neutralized, which can produce dark rough flavors. We encourage you to celebrate the Summer season with the best in farm-to -table cuisine by James Beard award-winning Chef Jimmy Schmidt and Chef de Cuisine Brian Recor.

What's New at Morgan's
Morgan's Sommelier, Jane Benjamin, on the 2011 Cristom Pinot Gris, Eola Amity Hills, Or.
Cristom's founder, engineer Paul Gerrie and biochemist Steve Doerner, set out to cultivate their vision in 1992, resulting in eight distinct vineyards on Cristom's 65 acres in the Eola Hills of Oregon's Willamette Valley. The vineyards are planted to high density and yields are strictly reduced. The resulting wine is elegant, yet concentrated with flavor. The Cristom Pinot Gris has aromas of white flowers, orange blossom, tangerine zest, bartlet pear and melon. The fruit is framed by crisp acidity with coconut-cream and spice in the finish
