Michael Slesinski Qualifies for Status on PGA TOUR Americas
Last year, we introduced you to professional golfer Michael Slesinski whose parents are PGA WEST® Members Mike and Sharon Slesinski (read 2024 PGA WEST blog post). Michael turned pro in 2022 and participated in the 18-hole local U.S. Open Qualifier held at Bermuda Dunes on May 9, 2024.
On May 8, 2025, Michael Slesinski teed it up at the U.S. Open Local Qualifier hosted at PGA WEST, taking part in one of golf's most challenging and prestigious pathways. Although he narrowly missed advancing in the U.S. Open qualifying rounds, Slesinski didn't let the disappointment slow him down. Just days later, he entered a demanding four-day qualifier for PGA TOUR Americas, formerly known as the Canadian Tour.
Out of a highly competitive field of 140 players, Slesinski earned one of only nine available spots—securing his status on the tour. Earning status means he's now eligible to play in PGA TOUR Americas events throughout the season, a significant step forward in his professional golf career. This achievement marks a major milestone, giving him regular access to top-tier competition and the chance to progress toward the highest levels of the sport.
